Description
A Miao Silvered Metal, (Nickel free), old ceremonial crown. South China. The top of the crown is decorated with a Silvered Metal dragon’s head, and a series of of ‘branches’ and curved bands. Around the top of the side of the crown, is a band of stylised fish, and, below, a series of seven panels depicting pairs of stylised human figures and seven panels depicting stylised flowers. The inner diameter of the base of the crown is 7.2 inches, and the height of the crown is 11.4 inches.
