An Afghan Necklace Of Small Blue Glass Beads, With Five Silver Plated Teardrop Shaped Patterned Panels, Each With A Lapis Teardrop Centre, And Small Red And Blue Round Glass Beads.

Description

An Afghan long three strand necklace of mixed sized blue Glass round and button beads, and four linked Silver Plated teardrop patterned panels, and, at the base, of the necklace, a large Silver Plated teardrop shaped patterned pendant. All five panels have a raised Lapis Lazuli teardrop at the centre, and are decorated with red and turquoise small round Glass beads. The five teardrop panels are bordered with lines of Silver Plated very small circular beads and wavy lines of Silver Plated wires. The large teardrop pendant is 5.5 cm in width, 1 cm in depth, and 6.5 cm in drop length. The four smaller panels are, each, 3 cm in width, 1 cm in depth, and 3.5 cm in drop length. The necklace and pendant have a total drop length of 36 cm, and the necklace is attached, at the top, by a Silver Plated bar and ring.
