Description
Bamileke traditional tribal large ceremonial circular headdress. Cameroons. The sides of the headdress are covered in a red felt, and decorated with a diamond and triangles pattern of red, black, pale blue, and green small Glass beads. The circular top of the headdress is covered in a black cotton cloth, decorated with ‘diamonds’ of white, black, red, pale blue, and green small Glass beads. Standing on the circular top is a ‘lizard’ decorated with a diamond pattern of red, black, and white small Glass beads, and a tail and ears of red felt. The cap of the headdress has an inner diameter of 7 inches and a height of 6 inches. The circular top is 15 inches in diameter. Thev lizard is 27 inches in length, including the tail, and is 6 inches in height.
