Description
An old Baule hinged Brass bangle with a wide band, decorated with a pattern of small semi-circular grooved panels, and small triangular shaped grooved panels. Ivory Coast, West Africa. At the top of the cuff is a Brass hollow bird, patterned with straight and semi-circular grooved bands. The bird is 4 cm in width, 9 cm in length, and 4.5 cm in height. The band of the bangle is 2.5 cm in width, and the inner diameter of the bangle is 6 cm. The hinged bangle is attached by a Brass tubular grooved tube, and a Brass pin.
