Description
Yoruba white Glass beaded ‘King’s Crown’ sewn onto a cotton cloth base. Nigeria. The crown is decorated with twelve white beaded birds, and two masks. At the top of the crown is a single white beaded bird on a Wood post. At the base of the crown is a fringe of white Glass beads. The inner diameter of the crown, at the base, is 7.5 inches, and the height, excluding the fringe, is 22 inches. The fringe is 21 inches in length.
