Description
An old Kuchi nomadic Silvered Metal, (Nickel free), rectangular pendant. Afghanistan. The pendant is decorated with two rectangular bands of light blue Glass small round beads, set within Silvered Metal circular band borders. In the centre of the pendant is a raised brown Glass oval panel set in a Silvered Metal border. At the top of the pendant are four Silvered Metal floral patterned square loops, and at the base of the pendant, five floral patterned square loops. Suspended from the loops at the base, are five groups of chains, decorated with red, green and orange small Glass beads, Silvered Metal round beads, and disc pendants. The pendant is suspend from a Silver Plated snake links chain necklace. The pendant is 2.3 inches in width, 0.2 inches in depth, and, including the chains, a drop length of 6 inches. The necklace is 20 inches in length, and is finished with a Silver Plated oyster clasp and ring.
