A Dinka traditional tribal ‘Scorpion’ headdress made with Leather bands, and decorated with Feathers attached to a Leather base. Sudan, East Africa. The body of the ‘scorpion’ is decorated with Ostrich Feathers and the head with dark green long feathers. The tail of the ‘scorpion’ is a curved banded Brass tube, decorated at the top with a ball of Ostrich Feathers. The Leather band at the base of the headdress is 6.4 inches in width, and 7.4 inches in length. The tail of the headdress is 10.4 in height.
