Description
A Philippines long necklace of thirty-three graduated sized rings of cream coloured Cowrie Shells, and eighteen dark brown Kukui Nuts. Each ring is composed of eight or nine Cowrie Shells strung in a star pattern. The largest Shell rings are each, approximately, 1.6 inches in diameter and 0.5 inches in width. The smallest Shell rings are 1.2 inches in diameter and 0.3 inches in width. The Kukui Nuts are each, approximately, 0.7 inches in width, and 1 inch in length. The necklace has a drop length of 15.4 inches, (31 inches in overall length), and is finished, on each side, with two brown Silk 2.4 inch bands.
