A New Guinea Tribal Braided Cord Necklace Of Conus Shell Discs, Bones, And ‘Job’s Tears’ Seeds

A Papua New Guinea traditional tribal necklace of twenty-five brown Sennet braided strands, and decorated with thirty-three graduated cream coloured Conus Shell discs, four Bone vertebrae, a series of small ‘Job’s Tears’ Seeds and yellow Glass tubular beads. The largest Conus Shell disc is 2 inches in diameter, and the smallest is 1.4 inches in diameter. The necklace is 29 inches in length, and is finished with a beige braided Rope loop, and a circular Shell toggle.
