Description
A Sumatra Golden Metal, (Nickel free), antique ceremonial headdress, decorated with Golden Metal flowers, two peacocks, and twelve long pendants. Indonesia. The headdress has a border of Golden Metal arrow shaped leaves on coiled wire stalks, each leaf with two small flat pendants. The flowers are a mix of small filigree eight petal flowers, plaques depicting flowers and leaves, and large flowers on stalks, each inlaid with clear facetted Glass circular cabochons. At the base of the headdress, on each side, are six Golden Metal long pendants, decorated with Golden Metal butterflies, plaques with two birds, and leaf pendants. The curved double band of the headdress is 6.7 inches in width, (adjustable in size), and 1.6 inches in depth. The headdress is 20 inches in maximum width, and 10.4 inches in height.
