Kuba traditional tribal ceremonial circular and pointed Fibre cap, decorated with cream Cowrie Shells, and yellow, red, and black Glass trade beads, in geometric and circular patterns. Democratic Republic Of Congo. Above the circular base of the cap are four beaded panels, ending, at the top of the cap with a ‘nest’ of Raffia strands. The base of the cap is decorated with a line of Cowrie Shells, with a circular beaded panel at the centre. On each side of the cap, and at the back, are beaded fibre flaps. The inner diameter of the cap, at the base, is 8.5 inches, and the height of the cap is 4.5 inches.
