Description
Ligay traditional man’s Wood headdress, decorated with green, pink, and gold sequins, sewn onto a cloth base. Northern Thailand. The upper part of the headdress is formed from rows of triangular shaped bands, decorated with green and pink sequins. The lower part of the headdress is decorated, at the front, with lines of gold sequins, and, at the base, a border of green, gold and pink lines of sequins. On each side of the headdress are ‘wings’ of patterned green, pink and gold sequins sewn onto a cloth base. The inner diameter of the headdress is 7 inches, and the height is 12.5 inches.
