Description
An old Massai, traditional tribal, flat circular, twelve band necklace of small white Glass beads with patterns of coloured Glass beads, all strung on wire bands. Kenya, East Africa. At the centre of the base of the necklace is a rectangular panel and triangular pendant of small white Glass beads decorated with patterns of small coloured beads. Suspended from the triangular pendant are five Silvered Metal chains, three with small circular Silvered Metal disc pendants. The inner diameter of the necklace is 5 inches, and the outer diameter is 8.6 inches. The drop length of the triangular pendant and chain, is 4.4 inches. The necklace is attached, at the top, by a Silvered Metal wire hook and ring.
