Description
A old Turkmen large Silvered Metal, (Nickel free), coiled patterned curved band, necklace, above a curved patterned panel, inlaid with small red and blue Glass beads. Afghanistan. Suspended from the curved panel are three pendants-a central eight band Silvered Metal pendant, decorated with two rectangular filigree patterned panels decorated with small rings, and a Glass circular bead in the centre of each panel.. At the base of the pendant is a large circular filigree patterned disc, inlaid with small red and blue Glass beads. On either side of the central pendant , is a twelve chains pendant with a narrow rectangular panel inlaid with red and blue Glass beads, small teardrop shaped panels, and, at the base of each chain, a small patterned pendant. The central pendant is 3.4 inches in width, and 8.3 inches in drop length. The two side pendants are 3 inches in width, and 6 inches in drop length. The inner diameter of the curved band of the necklace is 5.2 inches, and the necklace is finished with a Silvered Metal hook and ring
