Description
Papua New Guinea large ceremonial three row flat circular Shells necklace. Each circular Shell has been carved down from the brown surface to the Mother-of-Pearl centre, in a curved stripes pattern. The three rows of Shells are attached to a brown rope base. The large Shell discs, in the lower two rows, are 2.5 inches in diameter, and the smaller Shell discs in the top row, are 1.5 inches in diameter. The necklace is 14.5 inches in width and has a drop length of 12 inches. The necklace is attached, at the top, by a brown rope loop and a Cowrie Shell toggle.
