A Javanese antique ceremonial Hindu headdress, depicting Hanuman, the Monkey God. The headdress and tail are made from red Felt cloth, and the headdress is decorated with patterns of gold sequins and brown Glass beads. The curved top of the headdress is decorated, on each side, with a leaf of light and dark brown Glass beads, and a multicoloured painted patterned border decorated with gold sequins. Attached to the back of the headdress is a multicoloured painted Garuda mask, decorated with sequins. The headdress is 6 inches in width, 13 inches in length, and 11 inches in height. The long tail of Hanuman is 34 inches in length.
