Description

A long necklace of graduated Cornelian and Agate ancient barrel and ridged beads, excavated from the desert of Mali, West Africa. Roman period, 1st-2nd century AD.

The largest central Cornelian bead is 2.2 cm in diameter and 0.6 cm in depth.

The smallest bead is 0.6 cm in diameter and 0.4 cm in depth.

The necklace is 70 cm in length, and is finished with a beige braided cotton loop and a pale Cornelian round facetted toggle.
