Description
A large New Guinea black braided Rope curved necklace, decorated with four overlapping bands of graduated gold painted ribbed Shells. Between the Shells on the top row of the necklace are ten groups of four black painted Wood beads. The smaller Shells on the top row of the necklace are, each, 2.2 inches in width, and 2.4 inches in length. The larger Shells on the bottom row, are 2.7 inches in width, and 3 inches in length. The inner diameter of the necklace is 5 inches, and the outer diameter is 15.4 inches. The necklace has a drop length of 13 inches, and is finished with a black braided Rope loop, and a an oval cream coloured Shell toggle.
